The bridge is tentatively scheduled to reopen to traffic on Friday, September 25. We will send out an announcement ahead of the reopening.
Traffic Impacts
Bridge #6 on School Street over the Lamoille River remains fully closed to all traffic. The closure is in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is anticipated to continue until September 25, 2026. A signed detour guides motorists around the bridge closure to access School Street via Flat Iron Road and Vermont Route 15 (VT 15). Motorists are advised to follow signage and plan travel accordingly.
Next week motorists can expect an intermittent lane closure on VT 15, on either side of the VT15 and School Street intersection. As needed, lane closures and alternating one-way traffic will be controlled by flaggers, on weekdays, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Motorists should expect delays on VT 15 and should plan travel accordingly, delays are to be expected as crews begin work on paving, milling, and grading the roadway.
LOCATION: The Wolcott BO 1446(38) project is located on School Street/Town Highway 3 (TH 3) over the Lamoille River just south of the intersection with Vermont Route 15 (VT 15) in Wolcott.
