Construction Phase
Construction is Underway!
A Construction Contract was awarded to NA Monsh out of Morrisville as the lowest bidder. Construction of system components is scheduled to begin at the Wolcott Elementary School in July 2026. The contractors will begin by installing the dispersal zones and a control building.
This will be followed by installation of force main down through the Wolcott Town Forest and School Street. Contractors will begin outreach to homeowners that are connecting to assess plumbing and electrical needs. Work is scheduled to wrap up for the 2026 season around Thanksgiving.

Final Design and Permitting
The Project is Out to Bid
The project received a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) under the state environmental review process with Vermont DEC. Stone Environmental completed 100% design plans, submitted all state permit applications, and worked with the Town to advertise the project for a competitive bidding process. Bids for the construction of the project will be accepted via email until 4pm on June 19, 2026.

Seeking New Wolcott Wastewater Commission Members
The Wolcott Wastewater Committee recently announced that we were excited that construction of the new Wolcott Village Wastewater system will begin next week. This seven-year effort will be fully realized and implemented beginning this summer and continuing through next summer. Thanks to all Committee members and our partners: Lamoille Regional Planning Commission, DEC, and Stone Environmental.

Wastewater Ordinance
J.B. Hinds presented the draft Wastwater Ordinance at the January 27 Selectboard meeting (watch on YouTube). The meeting minutes are available in the Selectboard minutes. The Ordinance was adopted by the Selectboard in May 2025.
