Dear Voters,
The Secretary of State’s Office will begin mailing out General Election Ballots on October 1st. Because Wolcott starts with a “W”, we expect ballots to arrive locally around October 7th or 8th.
When your ballot arrives, please choose one of the following options:
- Vote Absentee: Fill out your ballot and mail it back or drop it off at the Town Office.
- Vote In-Person on Election Day (Nov 3rd): Put your ballot in a safe place and bring it with you to the polls. Please do not come to the polls empty-handed, as the State sends your ballot directly to you!
How Your Absentee Ballot Is Protected: If you vote absentee, rest assured your ballot is secure. Unopened ballots are stored in a locked election box in our vault. On November 3rd, two Election Officials open the ballots at the polls, and a third hand-feeds each ballot into the tabulator one at a time.
If you do not receive your ballot in the mail by mid-October, please reach out to the Town Office:
- Phone: 802-888-2746
- Email: tc@wolcottvt.org
Thank you,
Belinda Harris Clegg
Wolcott Town Clerk
